In Last Light, pushing your luck too long leaves you caught off guard when the zombies show up. Escaping the underground laboratory means knowing what to collect, what to protect, and when it's time to head back.

Every Shortcut Comes With a Risk

Last Light is a 2D zombie survival game set in an underground lab overrun by mutants. By day, you loot rooms, grab coins, find keycards, and unlock new areas. Stairs and elevators link the floors.

Power runs doors, lights, and elevators; overloaded circuits trip alarms and let zombies in. Find basement switches and restore power instead of rushing blindly. Pick Easy, Normal, or Hard when you start.

At midnight, surviving begins. Mutant waves test your weapons and defences, and any missed supplies will be hard to replace.

Build a Defense Before the Lab Turns Hostile

Coins only help if you spend them well. Upgrade your character, boost your weapons, or invest in defences. Turrets shoot enemies as they come, and vending-machine barricades block weak entrances. Put defences near key routes to buy yourself more time.

Some combat upgrades carry over between runs, so later attempts get a bit easier. Even if an escape fails, the progress you keep can change your next run. If surviving Last Light has you counting every bullet and coin, Zombie Mission Survivor throws you into another kind of nightmare, where each zombie wave brings a new fight and every upgrade could be the difference between holding your ground and getting overrun.

Tips for Surviving Longer In Last Light

Know When to Head Back

Don't clear every room just because you can. When night gets close, fall back to a spot you can defend and make sure your weapon is loaded.

Treat Power as a Survival Resource

If the power goes out, fixing it matters more than exploring another floor. Unstable systems can turn a bad situation into a disaster.

Spend Coins With a Purpose

Ask yourself whether your real problem is weak firepower or poor defences. Upgrade that instead of dumping everything into one thing.

Protect the Right Entrances

Put turrets where they can hit enemies as they approach, and use barricades to shore up weak passages before the next wave.

Seven Floors Between You and Freedom

Last Light is about more than shooting zombies. Its mix of exploration, electricity management, resource collection, and base defence makes preparation just as important as combat. Reach the surface by making the most of each day, because once the laboratory turns hostile, correcting a bad decision becomes much harder.
