Rotten Machines

About Rotten Machines

Rotten Machines is a retro-style indie horror driving game developed by Ken Forest for the Ludum Dare 60 game jam. Set in the year 2127, the game drops you into a deserted future where the roads are empty, the world feels forgotten, and getting home is anything but straightforward. Your only chance is an old, rust-covered time machine hidden inside a cave. First, though, you'll need to get it running.

Keep Your Car Running to Survive

Watch Out for Mechanical Monsters

The roads in Rotten Machines aren't empty. Mechanical creatures and hostile vehicles hide in the dark, making every drive tense. Low-poly PSX graphics, distorted visuals, and an eerie atmosphere keep you on edge even when nothing's happening.

New to this indie horror driving game? Watch your surroundings, not just the road ahead. Skip unnecessary risks. Learn how your vehicle handles. Prepare before driving into unfamiliar areas.

Can You Escape the Future in Rotten Machines?

Rotten Machines mixes old-school graphics with survival horror tension. The unreliable vehicle and unsettling world make every journey memorable no cheap jumpscares needed.

Into PSX horror games, atmospheric driving games, or retro survival horror? Rotten Machines is worth a look. Can you get the old machine running and find your way home or does the dead future become your final destination?
